...his "Cyprus Solution" in the Ukraine has not resulted with its Identity usurped, it is not so easy to make of Ukrainians, "Ukrainians" this time; nor is it clear that Russians want to be "Russians".

We are all looking for a (read: the) Solution to the Problem, Turkey most of all, the Ukraine and Cyprus, Russia too, would benefit from it as a result.

...indeed, it is becoming more likely that the Problem ends when these men shake hands, making History. There is little choice if they are to live Famous, rather than in infamy.

Erdogan begs us to take back our beaches, and with everything else, what can he do to awaken the spirit of enosis in us: finally giving it a Cypriot meaning; Cypriot people, in crowds against his notion having their own.

Who says Cypriots need to be defined as though they don't exist?

...ask yourself who died, in '63 and '74, whose land was stolen, to make "this"; those not "Them" murdered or disappeared for the most part, simple people who held (read: hold) Universal Principles as a higher ideal.

...and what is the big lie "They" like to repeat over and over again, our insignificance among them as too few; let us take the time to remember that decades have passed, even as a People unnaturally divided, "Their" candidates "Greek" and "Turkish", in elections, cannot win an overwhelming majority. We are many.

Who are the cowards but us if we the People do not expose "Greekness" and "Turkishness" in Cyprus for what they are, both failed dogmas leaving Cypriots torn, indebted, and, with their identity usurped: these are the facts.

...ask yourself, who treats the Flag of Cyprus as a rag?

A change would be nice indeed, the Flag of Cyprus seen everywhere, from our windows and our cars, across the island, and under its shade making souvla; who would be against such a notion, certainly not Cypriots.

What with the Problem now in the Ukraine, a solution may be found there.

I can imagine a BBF, for Ukainians, that Mr. Erdogan may emulate in his own Constitutional reforms, and that Cypriots may accept for themselves as well. Indeed Ukrainians will be Free in such a State, where as Individuals they are equal without further discrimination or distinction, undivided as a People, not "Ukrainians" and "Russians", while as Persons, at another level of government, they may nurture their distinct identities in Goodwill, as Majorities, by providing in Goodfaith for the Minorities that live among them their special needs in such an Agenda accordingly.

...for a country torn apart, a country tearing apart, and a country being torn apart; the gas, in all of this, may force these players to look at their intentions differently, in effect to get what they want.

...what is a BBF? Canada comes to mind, (the EU, although it is only at its advent,) and so too the USA which was the very first; it is something to think about...

Let's not forget that it was Mr. Erdogan who linked Cyprus' gas to the Problem, (no gas without a solution), and let's also remember Mr. Putin's ire in the Ukraine started with gas (long before the Crimea). Indeed, gas, the issue of power over it, in the Ukraine can also be linked to their Problem as well.

What with Turkey's Centennial in two years, Peace at Home, is a welcome notion in Turkey, too. Such Constitutional reform, Turkey a State, a BBF, which within it contains Constituencies so that as Persons, these Citizens may demonstrate through their self-representation the same commitment toward Universal Principles, bodes well for Mr. Erdogan's legacy.

The problem with the Problem is that it is still expanding and it is not limited to Cyprus alone.

...such as it is, a solution to the Problem is what is needed; this gas flowing freely in a reasoned manner.

Not having recognised the Problem makes me wonder if he really is a Citizen of the World, or just another sell-out because in fact he is "Ukrainian".

...good on Cyprus, good on Greece, canaries in a coal mine so to speak; at the Cradle of Civilization and the Cradle of Democracy, sounds of alarm.

Mr. Zelenskiy does himself or Ukrainian people as a People, no favours with speeches like these.

If he is fighting "Russians" and not Russians, if he is fighting against Putin and his regime, if it is Democracy against the forces like "Them", if it is a fight to keep the Ukraine whole, this war's reason, as a man or as President, he should not be encouraging toward "Ukrainians", who in affect are no different, and in dogma the same.

...he ignores History making History at his own peril.

...it is hard for me to wrap my head around it, Erdogan the peace maker, what with Cyprus torn in two, for "Turkishness", or against "Greeks" you might say, but while Cypriots Greek and Turkish are left unheard despite the fact that in elections they always represent never less than half the ballots, either side of the Green Line now decades.

If not in Cyprus, let us hope the Problem is solved in the Ukraine; a BBF that resolves the same issues in a manner where there is representation for people as a People, Individuals who are willing to defend Principles and values that are Universal, where there is no further need for distinctions and discrimination as equals, a State based on a Rule of Law. And as well, self-representation as Persons.

...what of Ukrainian Constituencies, of the persons living 'there' who as majorities seek to make their own efforts toward their own distinct identities?

What of Majorities demonstrating their respect and trust toward the Minorities living among them by providing in their Agenda for these needs as well? Wouldn't such a reciprocal nature of Goodwill, and Good Faith, among these states promote, the cohesiveness of their State? I'll add that at such a level of Government, the service taxpayers get is closer to their own pockets and their daily needs; this too is something to think about.

Two levels of government (a BBF) effectively secures for Citizens both their Liberty and Freedom.

...indeed, the Problem solved, a BBF that Mr. Erdogan can emulate in his own reform of Turkey's Constitution would be a welcome Legacy for Turkey's Centennial in two years. A State and Turkish Constituencies should not be hard to understand; the People, people: as Individuals, as Persons, their representation as such.

...indeed, many countries stand to benefit with the Problem solved.

As a Cypriot, i would like to say to Mr. Zelenskiy that it is not easy for me to see what the Ukrainian People must be suffering, because of a man like him. My hope is that you may have the strength to remain a loving person, a better man, despite the failings of those around you who you must also be depending on.

I would beg you to remember that the Problem which, we, suffer from for so long is at your doorstep if you ignore the difference between Ukrainians and "Ukrainians", that there exists in this subtle difference "Russians" and Russians, too. Your people are like us, they are neither one of "Them": as Persons quite distinct in their identities, but as Individuals quite prepared to defend the Universal Principles which as Humans we value most.

I would beg you to remember, that as the President of Ukraine you are the representative of all Ukrainians, not just "Ukrainians", that your (our) enemy are "Russians" not Russians. I would suggest that if the Ukraine is broken in parts, it may be a step forward for all the world to see what a BBF truly means; if at one level of Government, Ukrainian Constituencies which as Majorities demonstrated the Goodwill they have in Goodfaith toward their Minorities, and at another the people's representation as a People united existing as well where as Individuals they are equals without the further need for any further distinction or discrimination: what is Liberty, and Freedom?

...isn't the US, the world's first BBF, i ask; a rhetorical question because it is. And despite the failure in Cyprus where Cypriots live unheard among the two divided "sides", it is still a good (the best) idea to live a life based on values, and a Rule of Law that can be respected by everyone, while everyone of us may choose, who, we will be.

"Turkishness" and "Greekness" must be exposed for Cypriots to have Peace, and Sovereignty over their lives.

The Problem is your problem now, their lies and "their" mythic realities. What with the suffering tearing the fabric of all Ukraine and its people today, what with the people like "Them'' having their day fulfilling themselves with Hate, who can envy your position, Mr. Zelenskiy, i can only wish you well, and, good luck.

Freedom for Cyprus, and Liberty for Cypriots, too. No, to the "Greeks" and to the "Turks" who are no different but the same, they are an anathema to a Cypriot's way of living.

Freedom for Ukraine, and Liberty; like in Cyprus, (and Syria) (and Israel and Iraq), (and Turkey,) they have the Problem too.
